On Thursday 18th July, we were delighted to be the chosen wedding caterers for Jennifer and Michael who married at the beautiful Tavistock Town Hall. Following the ceremony, the wedding party made their way up on to Dartmoor to capture some photographs of the happy couple.

Upon their return to the hall, the guests were served a selection of our homemade canapes which included savoury choux buns filled with creamy wild mushrooms…

…mini ‘toad in the hole’ sweet caramelised red onions, butterfly breaded prawns with sweet chilli dip and spiced vegetable samosas.

Jo called the guests to take their seats and the newly weds were welcomed with a big round of applause. Jennifer decorated the tables with colourful, paper hearts and beautiful, fragrant flower centre pieces.

The guests could then come to a buffet station where they could choose chilli con carne served with rice, coq au vin or spinach and ricotta cannelloni both served with sea salt and black pepper roast potatoes and roasted Mediterranean vegetables. The canneloni was a particular hit amongst the vegetarians and even the meat eaters were coming back to try a taste.

Rather than getting a pre-order for their desserts, Jennifer and Michael opted for us to serve a trio of desserts to suit all appetites. So we served a trio of chocolate brownie, baby raspberry pavlova and vanilla cheesecake along with a bowl of Devon clotted cream for guests to help themselves.

These desserts were thoroughly enjoyed by all of the guests and were followed by tea, coffee, homemade chocolate truffles and mints.

As the guests danced to Jennifer and Michael’s playlist of their favourite songs, we served a finger buffet which included a selection of freshly cut assorted sandwiches, Devonshire meat and potato and cheese and onion cocktail pasties, a selection of homemade quiches, homemade chunky potato wedges and baby fruit doughnuts which were particularly enjoyed by the children.
