Last Saturday we were catering for a wedding on the edge of Dartmoor at Peter Tavy, near Tavistock in Devon.

Sally and Phil are all about farming and wanted their guests to have fun and full bellies.

The wedding ceremony took place at St Peter’s Church, followed by a reception in a transparent marquee just a few miles away.

On arrival we served Pimm’s with a selection of our homemade canapés. Following this was a two course buffet that consisted of beef from Sally’s family farm, home cooked gammon, prawns and fresh salmon from Plymouth. Along side this was a selection of homemade salads and roast potatoes.

Once Sally and Phil had cut their wedding cake we served a trio of desserts which consisted of chocolate brownie, miniature pavlova and lemon cheesecake.

In the evening we left the family serving burgers beside the fire pit and The Ordulph Arms from Tavistock serving the drinks.

The whole wedding day had a farming feel, with all 16 tables having a welly name, all different. These were drawn in their own colours and looked fab. The cake had a small cow and sheep bride and groom on the top tier which created a lot of “wows”

We wish the new Mr and Mrs Blowey all the very best for the future and it was great to be a part of your day.
