On Saturday 10th June, we were the chosen wedding caterers for the marriage of Natalie and Laurence at the stunning Huntsham Court, near Tiverton in Devon.

The rooms at Huntsham Court are beautifully decorated with their grand attire…

…so the couple chose to keep their table decorations simple yet elegant. Pretty flowers adorned each table centre and the guests’ place cards were held by a Ferrero Rocher chocolate.

Fortunately the weather remained dry, allowing the couple to marry in the gardens. A four piece string quartet greeted the guests for arrival drinks and a selection of our homemade cold and warm canapes. These included our miniature assorted poppadoms topped with chilli, garlic and lime chicken and micro coriander…

…smoked salmon, cream cheese and dill blinis with micro dill; olive bread crostini with sun dried tomato and whipped goats cheese…

…and miniature local butchers sausages from our butcher near Exeter, with a honey and mustard glaze.

After the guests were seated, we served the first course including chicken liver, brandy and thyme pate, oaktree chutney and toasted granary bread…

For the main course, we served rump of Devon lamb again form our local butcher with a herb crust and a rich port sauce; Crediton Creedy Carver chicken supreme with a white wine, mushroom and tarragon cream sauce; and butternut squash, stilton and pecan nut wellington for the guests requiring a vegetarian option or something lighter for the wedding breakfast. All this was served with minted new potatoes from the Tamar valley on the Cornwall border, roasted seasonal vegetables with thyme and a green vegetable medley for guests to tuck in and help themselves.

Our trio of desserts also made an appearance, providing guests with the opportunity to taste all of the desserts and saving the bride and groom the task of collecting a dessert pre-order. Guests were delighted when we served our baby raspberry pavlovas, sticky toffee pudding and tart au citron along with bowls of Cornish Clotted cream.

To finish we poured bubbly ready for speeches, and served freshly brewed tea and filter coffee from a station along with homemade truffles and mints.

After clearing everything away, we left the happy couple and their guests to dance the night away.

Thank you Natalie and Laurence for allowing us to be a part of your special day, and many congratulations once again.
