On Saturday 10th June, we had the pleasure of being the chosen wedding caterers for Lorraine and Adam, who married in Kilkhampton church, near Bude, in Cornwall. Guests arrived in the sunshine for the wedding reception in the Grenville rooms beautifully lined by local florist, Val Shaddrick, in keeping with the lilac colour theme.
We greeted the guests with a glass of garnished Pimm’s and lemonade, or orange juice for the children and drivers. We then served a cold finger buffet for guests to help themselves, including a selection of freshly cut sandwiches with an assortment of fillings; homemade Scotch eggs; hot potato wedges with a garlic dip; homemade sausage rolls with sausage meat from our local butchers here in Okehampton…
…homemade scones topped with jam and Cornish clotted cream; baby chocolate eclairs; baby strawberry pavlovas; and assorted cupcakes along with freshly brewed tea and filter coffee.
Whilst guests stepped outside to enjoy the summer sunshine, the couple’s team of helpers transformed the room into a dance floor. Following the cutting of the wedding cake and the bride and groom’s first dance, we served crispy bacon baps and hot dogs with local butchers sausages along with buttery onions, tomato sauce and HP sauce. Meanwhile guests could themselves to a goodie bag of sweets from this pretty sweet cart…
After clearing everything away, we left the happy couple and their guests to enjoy the rest of their evening, dancing the night away.
Thank you Lorraine and Adam for letting us be a part of your special day and congratulations once again.
