Our latest wedding day took us to Morwenstow, a pretty North Cornwall Village north of Bude on the border with Devon.

Mr and Mrs Bonney married in Morwenstow Church and followed this with a reception in their local hall.

The five bridesmaids were dressed in fantastic yellow dresses and Michaela’s dress was the perfect bridal dress for her. All the men looked very dapper in their bow ties too.

The hall was lined and was completely transformed, with pink swagging and jet black seat pads to finish it off. The Village Inn from Ashwater provided a bar to keep all the guests going.

The guests arrived to Pimm’s and a selection of our homemade canapes. After some touching speeches we served topside of roast beef or a chicken supreme with a creamy mushroom and leek sauce and a sweet potato, mozzarella, sundried tomato and basil filo tart for the vegetarians amongst the guests. Our legendary homemade pavlova’s followed with either chocolate brownie or Michaela’s favourite creme brulee with heart shortbread biscuits. We added some edible flowers which are grown in Devon and always cause an interest! This was all finished off with fresh filter coffee and homemade chocolate truffles.

Not only was this a great day for Michaela and Nathan it was also a special day for us as we revealed our new uniforms which made our team very excited!
