On the 3rd July, we had the honour of catering for the Wedding of Laura and James.
A beautiful outside seating area with wonderful views of the surrounding fields and rolling hills was set up for the guests to enjoy whilst having their welcome drinks.
Laura and James’ canape choices included Mini Assorted Poppadums topped with Prawn, Mango, Cucumber and Micro Coriander, Smoked and Poached Salmon Pate on Granary Toast with Micro Dill,
Wild Mushroom, Camembert and Red Onion Tartlet,
Mini Butchers Sausages and Mini Yorkshires Pudding with Smoky Chicken and Sweet Smoked Aioli.
The Claremont marquee was beautifully decorated with hanging flowers and ribbons and had windows on all sides to allow the amazing view to continue to be admired throughout the wedding breakfast.
The wedding breakfast included Beef Bourguignon,
Chicken Breast in a White Wine, Tarragon and Mushroom Sauce and a Vegetarian Curry.
For their Desserts, the guests had sharing platters of Rich Chocolate Brownie, Lemon Cheesecake, Creme Brulee and Raspberry Pavlova. These sharing platters are always a hit with the guests as they look fantastic and taste even better!
Once all the guests had eaten, a wedding newsletter was given out in which Laura and James had separately answered questions about each other and their lives together. It was composed of questions such as 5 wishes they have and what they hope their lives will look like in 5 years. We thought this was such an amazing idea that really helped give the guests an insight into what life as a married couple would be like for Laura and James.
Due to no dancing being allowed because of the remaining Covid restrictions, the shanty band that James and his family are members of, Cousin Jack performed two sets of sea shantys and Cornish folk which the guests all thoroughly enjoyed.
After the first set from Cousin Jack, Laura and James cut their cake which was 5 separate tiers all of varying heights decorated in white with black music notes adorning the sides and ribbons around the bases which matched that hanging in the marquee. The cake was amazing and was a real focal point of the marquee.
In the evening, no guests were left hungry with pasties, an assortment of Cheeses and Crackers and Caramel Shortbread being served.
Congratulations once again Laura and James, it was a pleasure being part of your special day and thank you for your lovely card!
