On Saturday 21st May we headed back to Launcells Barton for the wedding of Corrine and Rob, that married at Launcells Church then headed to the venue next door for their reception.
Corrine and Rob decided on a bee theme for their wedding with table centres that reflected this and looked great.
After enjoying drinks in the sunshine the guests were seated for the three course Wedding Breakfast that Corrine and Rob had chosen. The first course consisted of three options; Smoked Haddock and Spring Onion Fishcakes with a Homemade Tartar Sauce, Homemade Leek and Potato Soup or Caroline’s homemade Chicken Liver, Brandy and Thyme Pate with Oaktree Chutney and Toasted Granary Bread.
For the main course of the Wedding Breakfast we served Roast Topside of Devon Beef with a Yorkshire Pudding and Rich Gravy.
The second meat dish option for the Wedding Breakfast was Chicken Supreme with a Creamy Brie and Smoked Bacon Sauce. While the vegetarian option was Sweet Potato, Mozzarella, Sun Dried Tomato and Basil Filo Tart with Homemade Pesto. Along side all three main course dishes we served dishes of Crispy Roast Potatoes, Carrots, Broccoli and Braised Red Cabbage for the guest to help themselves too.
The final course of the Wedding Breakfast was Dessert and again consisted of three options! This included a Lemon Parfait with a Zesty Lemon Sauce.
An Elderflower Posset with Raspberries and Homemade Shortbread.
Or A Light Chocolate Truffle Torte. Alongside all three dishes we served bowls of Clotted Cream that the guests were able to help themselves too.
To complete the Wedding Breakfast we served Fresh Filter Coffee or Tea with Homemade Truffles and Mints.
For their evening wedding food Corrine and Rob decided on a Hog Roast. We served Roast Leg of Pork with Homemade Apple Sauce; Sage and Onion Stuffing all served in a Granary or White Floured Bap. The vegetarian option for the evening was a Sweet Potato Burger in a Granary or White Floured Bap.
In the evening Corrine and Rob cut their four tier wedding cake. As Corrine has a dairy allergy, the cake was all dairy free so she too could enjoy it.
Congratulations again Mr and Mrs Slee and thank you for letting us share in your beautiful day.
