On Saturday 26th June, we were the chosen caterers for Charlotte and Sam’s Wedding.
A little bit of inspiration, this fab little sign was handmade by Charlotte and her friend to make sure all the guidelines were followed. It was great to see a light hearted take at a difficult time.
They were lucky with the weather and were able to have welcome drinks of Pimms, bottled beers, draught cider and orange and lemonade outside the marquee surrounded by woodlands and green pastures.
Their delicious canapes of miniature yorkshire puddings topped with roast beef, mini butchers sausages in a sticky hoi sin glaze, crispy chicken skewers, and sweet potato, ginger and spring onion samosas went down a treat!
The Marquee supplied by Abbas was beautifully decorated with flowers suspended from the roof, which created a real wow to the whole marquee environment.
Each place was adorned with handcrafted wooden favours of puzzle pieces and wellington boots that also doubled up as their place cards.
The wedding breakfast was made up of honey glazed roasted gammon, butter basted Devon turkey breast and mixed pepper, red onion and cheddar tart sharing platters, accompanied by buttery new potatoes, roast potatoes, mixed salad, creamy coleslaw, cous cous with roasted peppers, red onion, sun dried tomatoes, feta and fresh herbs, Waldorf salad and a Mediterranean roasted vegetable penne pasta. Each table also had an assortment of artisan breads and Devon butter, which was all served to the table as sharing platters for the guests to enjoy at the tables.
A trio of desserts were served after the main course. This included a vanilla cheesecake, rich chocolate brownie and raspberry pavlova.
Charlotte and Sam’s amazing Wedding cake in the shape of “French Fancies” was made by Charlotte’s God mother, and it tasted as good as it looked (we may have tried a teeny piece).
This heart sign was such a lovely addition to the scenery and made for some amazing pictures of the guests with a wonderful woodland backdrop.
We had such a wonderful time catering for Sam and Charlotte’s Wedding, you got there in the end!
Many congratulations once again, and thank you for allowing us to be part of your special day.
