On the 11th of June 2022 we headed off to Lamerton Village Hall for the Wedding of Bradley and Amelia in the lovely Devon Sunshine.

Bradley and Amelia had their Wedding Ceremony at Bere Ferrers Church; and managed to include both of their interests with a tractor and a Shetland pony! The pony wore a basket saddle filled with confetti for the guests to throw as the Bride and Groom left the church.

While the tractor and trailer took Bradley and Amelia down to the Quay for photographs before heading back to the hall for their Wedding Reception.

As the guests began to arrive we greeted them outside on the field in the sunshine with a variety of arrival drinks including Pimms, Prosecco and Bottles Beers.

Once all the guests had arrived and Bradley and Amelia returned from the Quay we started to serve canapes. These included a firm favourite of Baby Sausages with a Hoi Sin Glaze.

Crispy Chicken Skewers with a Mustard Mayonnaise Dip and Buckwheat Blini with Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese and Fresh Dill.

Along with Wild Mushroom Camembert and Red Onion Tartlets.

As the Arrival Drinks and Canapes came to an end the guests were asked to move into the hall for the Wedding Breakfast to commence.

The hall itself had been completely transformed by being fully lined along with fairy lights draped from the ceiling and stunning flowers; giving it a marquee like vibe.

Each guest was given a lovely thoughtful favour to remember the day with.

For the Wedding Breakfast Amelia and Bradley decided on Cold Meats and Salad Sharing Platters to be served to the tables for the guests to help themselves too. These dishes included:

  • West Country Topside of Beef with Horseradish and Mustard
  • Home Cooked Gammon Ham with a Honey Roast Glaze
  • Butter Basted Devon Turkey Breast
  • Provencal Vegetable Tart topped with Mozzarella
  • New Potatoes with Herb Butter
  • Mixed Green Leaf Salad Served with Homemade Wholegrain and Olive Oil Dressing
  • Classic Creamy Coleslaw
  • Mediterranean Roasted Vegetable with Penne Pasta
  • Spicy Saffron Rice Salad with Pineapple, Sultanas and Peppers
  • Crunchy Cucumber, Tomato and Spring Onion Salad with Chilli and Lime Dressing
  • Homemade Chutney and Assorted Condiments
  • Selection of Homemade Artisan Breads and Devon Butter

For Dessert we served Slate Sharing Patters. Each guests had a choice of four mini desserts, which could be shared or fought over between the guests depending on which ones were everyone’s favourites! These were White and Dark Chocolate Brownie; Lemon Cheesecake with Lemon Confit; Raspberry Pavlova and Traditional Crème Brulee. The desserts were accompanied by bowls of Devon Clotted Cream for the guests to help themselves too.

We then served Fresh Filter Coffee and Tea along with Homemade Truffles and Mints to finish the meal.

As the Wedding Breakfast came to a close and the Bubbly was poured Speeches began. With one from the Father of the Bride, The Groom and The Best Man there was plenty of laughter and heartfelt moments.
