We’ve just received a very kind testimonial that has brought back happy memories of a blustery May wedding near Exeter that we were delighted to cater for.

Jo and Matt first approached us, even though we were slightly beyond their immediate area, as they wanted something a little bit different – pies being the order of the day!

We like to rise to a challenge and after a tasting to ensure Caroline’s pastry was up to scratch, we were all set for the big day.

The marquee was cleverly assembled to fit snugly in its rural setting within a farm courtyard. We served afternoon tea and sandwiches after the ceremony, which was very well received due to the blustery weather, along with the wedding cake after Jo and Matt had cut it.

The invited guests then sat down and enjoyed sharing platters of Devon seafood and homemade mackerel pate, which is always good to get everyone mingling.

The chosen pies were local Crediton chicken, smoked bacon and a hint of tarragon, and these were served on platters to each table along with new potatoes and spring vegetables. The icicle tricycle then arrived to serve a selection of ice creams to all the guests.

Jo’s attention to detail created a truly beautiful setting and the marquee looked amazing with homemade pom poms and sloe gin which the guests all really enjoyed! We departed as the ceilidh was in full swing with a very full dance floor!
